We offer a full range of dental services for veterans in Melbourne under DVA arrangements. All treatment is based on assessed clinical need and provided in line with the current DVA dental fee schedule.
These may include regular check-ups and cleaning, prevention of tooth decay, treatment for cavities, dentures and emergency dental care.
Am I eligible for DVA dental services?
DVA dental entitlements depend on the type of Veteran Card you hold. Gold Card holders can access up to $5,980.30 in dental treatment on a fixed DVA fee schedule, with no out-of-pocket costs for covered services. *Eligibility for DVA dental services is subject to Veteran Card type and accepted conditions. An Annual Monetary Limit (AML) of $2,920.05 per calendar year applies to Schedule C items; AML exemptions apply to ex-prisoners of war and veterans with DVA-accepted disabilities or malignant neoplasia conditions related to their dental need. Services listed under Schedule B and certain other treatments require prior DVA approval before treatment can commence — treatment will not begin until approval is received and confirmed.
