At East Melbourne Dental Group we have never used mercury amalgam fillings because of the health risks. You can read more about those here: The rise and fall of mercury.
If you do have old fillings you are concerned about, come and have a chat with us about safe alternative filling materials in particular biocompatible porcelain. Our Cerec porcelain fillings actually strengthen the existing tooth structure which means they are much longer lasting.
